Mac freedom conference golf2/11/2023 There is a large sofa which is impractical and sited beneath a wall hung TV. Perhaps the reception staff need training? Bedroom The room was clean, but looked tired. We were also told by Receptionist that our Pestana cards only allowed a discount on drinks not food. The hotel was in fact less than 30% occupied so the reception staff were mistaken at best or lying at worst. We were then given a 3rd floor room with a sea view. We refused to accept the room and demanded what we had paid for. We were told that was all that was available and we needed to see the reception supervisor the following morning. Having reserved a “de luxe” room with a sea view we were then allocated a 2nd floor basic room with a view of a blank wall. This was rubbish as the emails were from named members of the reception team. We had been in considerable email correspondence about our requirements, but she professed to know nothing and said we must have been corresponding with central reservations. We arrived at about 9.30 pm after a long day of travelling. Reception We have stayed at this hotel many times before.
